I went to bed fully clothed last night. By the time I got to bed, it was a little chilly and the thought of my bare skin against cold sheets seemed bad. My jeans weren’t that bad to sleep in really. They did ride up a little around my ankles though. I finally replaced the projector lamp today. It has a 1500-rated-hour life, for good picture brightness. After that it goes down and as everyone that’s been here knows, the TV gets harder and harder to see in the daylight. We got to 6000 hours as of today, and I decided 4 times the so called limit was good enough for me. I took it down, changed the bulb, and the results should speak for themselves, however I am the only one here, so lets just say it’s a lot brighter. […]

It’s funny that I am doing a subject on mental health, but it seems to be mine that is failing quite miserably right now, and for that, and a number of other reasons, I can’t see myself getting a good grade in that subject for my first assignment. And no, I don’t want to talk about it. I have people I talk to. I promise I wont do anything stupid, and hey, I do have some things to look forward to, right? Birthday coming up and all that. I downloaded some more music today, got a few Dire Straits albums, they’re really good. Also got some Midnight Oil. I managed to take my music collection over 14,000, and in the process also cleaned up some duplicates. Cleaned up the house, finally got the vacuum out and got rid of all the dust […]

After last night, I was quite keen to have a sleep-in, simply because I went to bed so late, so wanted to get my full rest. I certainly didn’t mean to get up after lunchtime though, but shit happens. It seemed to be a dry day by the time I got up, however just as I was leaving it did start raining, luckily it seemed like it was only raining on Springfield and as I drove down the Centenary Highway, the rain ceased. For the first time in a while, I had a clean windscreen, beautifully clean. I had a couple of beers this evening, before grilling some bacon and adding some rice to it for dinner. It was tasty and at least I had some meat. No vegetables tonight, though I had the leftovers of the Thai last night for lunch before I […]

Today, and to a greater extent, tonight, was Megan’s 18th birthday. Some might remember I was quite close with Megan in semester one. We even went on a road trip at one point. However at some stage she discovered that the girls around here have to stick together and I saw her less. I hardly see her at all these days. This morning I was awake at a respectable time again, though I didn’t stay up. I slept-in several times due to the heavy rain outside, eventually choosing bed over class due to the short walk through the rain. A later recap with others in the class would prove that nothing was gained from being there. This afternoon I managed to catch my class though, having decided to get out of bed eventually and deciding that the rain was light enough to […]

I had a nice quiet day today. Relaxing after last night is good for me, though I was smart and made sure I drank plenty of water before bed, and even left some on my table for when I woke up. Surprisingly I was awake at 7 (though I thought it was much later till I saw my watch), and then I went back to sleep. The temperature has warmed up slightly now, as it’s officially spring. I opened my window last night to let in some cool air though and was happy with that this morning, my room certainly felt less stuffy and wasn’t as hot with the morning sun streaming in. I listened to some Jackson Browne this afternoon as I watched the cricket. Understandably, Australia beat Bangladesh quite easily. I did do some work too though. We finally got […]

Up early this morning, just because I felt I should get into that habit more often, not for any other reason. That being said, I didn’t end up doing a lot. This evening I had to make some invitations for Yvonne, but that being said they were actually for Ann, for her leaving party, which will be held a lot ahead of time. After some fiddling around I made a cool invite and managed to print wirelessly to her printer too, which is much better than ours. My highlight for today really was my dinner tonight. Of course, I didn’t have it planned or know it was going to be so good. To be fair, I didn’t have anything planned, as I have nearly no food in the house. All my dry-mix packets of food are at Springfield. Regardless, I had to […]

Well I had to wake up early this morning, due to dad needing someone to drive him to the airport. Luckily that meant I got a cooked breakfast though, by dad. I would of preferred poached eggs though. So I drove him to the airport, and then drove myself back. The round trip took about 2 hours and was quite boring really. Throughout the afternoon I did nothing. As per usual. Sze Sze did some of her homework, and didn’t come to the airport with me, so did it while I was out too presumably. This evening I ended up taking Sze Sze back to school slightly later than planned because she was working, and then wanted something to eat before going. She called ahead though so there was no problem. That left me alone for the rest of the […]

I had a good sleep last night, and for the first time in a while I wasn’t in my sleeping bag as I didn’t find it that cold here. I slept in till much later than I would have planned, finally jumping out of bed around lunchtime. Instead of breakfast I had a sausage roll, heated in the oven, not the microwave, as I know what happens to thing in the microwave. Shortly after lunch I had to pick up Sze Sze from school, as she wanted to come out this weekend, though I’m sure she would have preferred to be with friends than family. After picking her up we went to Ashmore Plaza for a couple groceries and some products that mum had requested, as she presumably can’t get them in Hong Kong. We both left the house later in the afternoon, around 4, […]

Last night was fun, and I can tell you now that it wasn’t a surprise to see Kahlia this morning when I woke up. She wasn’t staying with me though. Anyway, I had a good sleep and was surprised I got up so early, the sun woke me, and I stayed awake, instead of just sleeping in like I usually do. I got some food and tried to stay connected to the network, though I had to eventually phone Nsane and talk to them about the problems again. They said they’d look into it, though I wont know anything till I get back on Tuesday. I left Springfield just after lunch and got to the Gold Coast in the afternoon. I picked up a sausage roll from Tees for lunch and saw Yvonne and Ada. The weather turned bad, then got better, there […]

My sore throat was again back this morning, however I had some lemsip by my bed all night so as I woke up at various points, I was able to soothe it a little. I didn’t have an alarm to wake me, but woke before class. My back also felt a little better this morning, and improved throughout the day, but still felt sore so it isn’t the best feeling. I successfully got through my classes today, even though both were quite boring and nearly put me to sleep. I think I’m more confused about upcoming assignments than I was before class, and the lecturers I don’t think will be able to help much as I already don’t understand them. The internet has been intermittent all day, going up and down, so I’m going to be giving Nsane a call tomorrow and making sure they […]
